Arena Travel has announced the re-branding of Diamond Rail Holidays, which will now trade as Arena Rail Holidays.
The changes follow Arena Travel’s acquisition earlier this year of the River Cruise Line and Diamond Rail Holidays brands.
Managing director of Arena Travel, Steve Goodenough, said:
“The programme of great value escorted holidays by rail has such synergy with much of our existing product, so it seemed only natural that it should be brought under the Arena banner. This is an exciting period of transition and our focus currently is on consolidating and delivering the programme of rail holidays for 2017, with an emphasis on the quality of the product and customer experience. To that end we have reduced the number of itineraries available for 2017, and will be announcing our plans for next year in the coming months.”
Arena Rail Holidays will be launching online soon, to coincide with the release of the 2018 brochure.
Details of all current tours for 2017 are available via the main Arena Travel website and include a number of itineraries in France, Italy, Germany and Austria, as well as shorter breaks by rail in the UK.
Popular tours include the 10 day ‘Highlights of Corsica’ itinerary; the six day ‘Great Little Trains of the Rhine Valley’ tour; and ‘Lake Geneva & the Mont Blanc Express’ a seven day journey through some of the most iconic landscapes in Europe.
Each of the fully escorted holidays offered features not only travel using Europe’s high speed rail network, but included trips on historic narrow gauge and mountain railways, taking in beautiful scenery and plenty of culture.
In the UK, the programme features journeys on some of the country’s best loved steam railways, including routes in Scotland and the Snowdonia National Park.
