APT has reported a surge of interest in Douro cruise bookings, as the launch of its newbuild for the river, the MS Estrela, approaches. Custom-designed for Travelmarvel, APT’s flexible, sister brand, the vessel is currently being built in Portugal, and will set sail in the country’s beautiful northern wine region from summer 2024.
Ensuring that partners capitalise on this build in demand, APT & Travelmarvel has released a suite of images on the APT Agent Club (APTAgentClub.co.uk); the new visual assets can be used as marketing tools, or to reassure customers at the point of booking.
Images demonstrate the quality of the 60 stunningly appointed cabins, accommodating up to 120 guests aboard the MS Estrela. They also showcase the outstanding dining and luxurious facilities on offer; these include the largest swimming pool of any ship on the Douro River, a putting green, spa and fitness centre, multiple leisure areas, bars, restaurants, and al fresco dining areas.
Portugal’s unique culture, history and gastronomy will be brought to life onboard the MS Estrela.
Over eight days, Travelmarvel’s Douro Discovery cruise showcases the most fascinating aspects of Portuguese life. Guests will dine at a local quinta, a traditional Portuguese winery, and learn all about the growing traditions behind the amazing fortified-wine production that makes port such a source of pride to the nation. They will also experience the fiery art of Flamenco with a special performance and explore the stunning baroque architecture that defines the region.
Travelmarvel’s seven-night Douro Discovery cruise costs from £1,995 per person. Return flights, seven nights of onboard accommodation, 20 meals, complimentary soft drink, beer and local wine with lunch and dinners on board, land excursions, the services of a Travelmarvel Cruise Director, transfers, port charges, and gratuities are included.
