ANA has unveiled plans to launch a third daily flight between Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Effective 29 October 2017, the Japanese carrier will add a new daily departure from Tokyo’s Narita Airport, in addition to its existing two daily Tokyo-LAX flights – one from Narita and one from Haneda.
The new service will take off from Narita at 1600 and arrive in Los Angeles at 0840 the same day, having crossed the International Date Line. The return flights will then leave LAX at 1020 and arrive back in Tokyo at 1520 the following day.
ANA will deploy a 250-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route, with eight seats in first class, 52 in business class and 190 in economy.
“This flight schedule enables ANA to take advantage of the respective characteristics of each airport in accordance with the dual hub model for the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, expanding the respective networks served by Haneda Airport… and Narita Airport, which functions as an international transit hub, linking passengers on flights between the Asian countries and North America via Japan,” the airline said in a statement.
Reservations for the new flights will open on 3 July 2017.
