Ambassador Cruise Line augments its trade team
The British cruise line welcomed new hires to its in-house trade team
Ambassador Cruise Line augmented its in-house trade team with four new business development executives, as well as a new trade support executive and trade support assistant.
According to distribution head Nicola Harper: “I am delighted to welcome some great new talent to the Ambassador Trade Team, which will only benefit our agent partners as we look to continue providing them with all the support and tools they need. These experienced additions illustrate just how highly we value the trade, who can rest assured that Ambassador will be with them every step of the way as we look to continue serving both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible.” has appointed four new Business Development Executives, a Trade Support Executive and a Trade Support Assistant to enhance its in-house trade team, according to a statement.
According to a company statement, augmenting the team is meant to serve agent partners’ needs better whilst strengthening commercial relationships.
Who’s who?
Debbie Ballantyne handles business development specifically for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Prior to this recent appointment, she was a branch manager at Barrhead Travel. joins as a business development executive for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Currently, she reports to deputy head of trade Karen Cameron.
Natalie Hurst and Kelly Whitefoot, on the other hand, take on the business development roles in the North Midlands and South Midlands respectively. Former TUI travel advisor and team leader Jade Cheadle takes on the role in the South West and Wales. These three report to southern divisional sales manager Louise Tansey.
Jade Cheadle takes on the role of business development executive for the North Midlands. She previously served as a Business Development Manager at The Travel Network Group and a Branch Manager at Newell’s Travel.
Kelly Whitefoot is the new business development executive for the South Midlands. She comes from Aquilium Travel Group and has held management roles at Polka Dot Travel, Hays Travel, Thomas Cook and TUI.
Jade Cheadle has been appointed business development executive for the South West and Wales. She joins from TUI, where she was a Travel Advisor and Team Leader.
All three will report to Louise Tansey, divisional sales manager for South.
The support staff
Group support executive Michelle Nairne previously worked as a customer services clerk at Adrian Flux Insurance Services. In the new position, she reports to business development manager Alan Rennie and handles contracts and allocations.
Audra Garner, on the other hand, steps up from her previous role at Ambassador as reservation specialist to the position of trade support assistant under trade support manager Beth Barker.
