Go fast or go home: Amadeus to ‘provide speed and accuracy’ for Ctrip brand Trip.com

Amadeus has partnered with Trip.com to provide the Amadeus Master Pricer Instant Search, delivering speed, accuracy and booking availability where every second counts.
In today’s ‘instant-search and instant-answer’ world, customers want instant data at a click of a button. So, how do online travel agencies (OTAs) keep them on their website to make a booking? The answer is speed.

Trip.com, a brand under China’s Ctrip – the world’s second-biggest OTA – has joined forces with Amadeus, to try to retain their customers’ attention. Through the Amadeus Master Pricer Instant Search, it will aim to deliver the ‘ultimate search and shopping experience’ to customers.

Trip.com is Ctrip’s international travel platform, with focus on non-Chinese language and customers. It already has solid partnerships with Skyscanner in place and is growing quickly. According to Ctrip Group’s CEO, Jane Sun, to say that every second counts in today’s world of online travel is not an exaggeration.
She said in a statement: “Amadeus’ solution delivers a powerful combination of speed, accuracy and booking availability that our customers want, and this is critical to helping Trip.com differentiate its offering. This partnership is also key to supporting Trip.com’s rollout to English-speaking customers in international markets.”
With the use of the technology, Trip.com joins some of the world’s leading OTAs and metasearch companies. Through a five-year agreement with Amadeus, the company will be able to present economic and convenient offers to travellers – a critical response to converting online ‘lookers’ into ‘bookers’.
