Air Arabia to fly Abu Dhabi to Kuwait from 31 Oct
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new route from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait City. The flights will directly connect the two cities, flying from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Kuwait International Airport, starting end of next month.
“We are glad to welcome Kuwait to our growing network from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The addition of Kuwait City to Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s network reflects our commitment to support the travel and tourism sector in Abu Dhabi while providing our customers with a new and affordable option to travel between both cities,” said Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia. Flights are open for booking on the official airline website, flights will be available starting 31 October 2022.
Last month, Air Arabia announced AED451 million profits in the first half of 2022. The airline’s second-quarter net profit reached AED160 million and turnover increased by 125 percent, exceeding AED1.11 billion.
“The solid financial and operational performance registered in the first half of this year is a testament to the strength of the business model we operate and the appeal to the value driven product that Air Arabia offers to our customers. The strong performance we witnessed in the first quarter of this year continued in the second quarter and was supported by higher customer demand and cost control measures adopted by the management team,” said Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Thani, chairman of Air Arabia.
More than 5.2 million passengers flew with Air Arabia between January and June 2022 across the carrier’s five hubs, an increase of 131 percent compared to the same period last year, the airline announced.
