Air Arabia launches direct flights from Sharjah to Sochi
Air Arabia expands Russian Network
Air Arabia, the low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has unveiled a new direct flight route connecting Sharjah to Sochi, Russia. Starting June 27, 2025, the airline will operate three weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Sochi International Airport, enhancing connectivity and travel options between the UAE and Russia.
Air Arabia (G9) introduces a new Sochi route with flights connecting Sharjah (SHJ) and Sochi (AER). The outbound flight, numbered G9 440, departs Sharjah at 08:35 and arrives in Sochi at 11:30, utilizing an Airbus A320 aircraft. This flight operates three times weekly, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The return flight, designated as G9 441, provides a convenient return journey for travelers. This flight leaves Sochi at 12:30 and lands in Sharjah at 17:15, also utilizing an Airbus A320. Matching the outbound schedule, this return flight operates on the same days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Sochi is now the sixth Russian destination served directly by the airline from Sharjah, joining Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg. Additionally, Air Arabia offers direct flights from its UAE hubs, including Ras Al Khaimah to Moscow and Abu Dhabi to Yekaterinburg. This strategic expansion highlights Air Arabia’s dedication to enhancing connectivity between the UAE and Russia, boosting tourism, trade, and cultural ties between the two regions.
