Ahoy rains! Leisure Hotels predicts monsoon rush at Corbett
Leisure Hotels has welcomed the government’s decision to open Corbett Tiger Reserve for round-the-year tourism. The hotel chain is preparing to host guests this monsoon season as it foresees an influx of visitors.
Leisure Hotels is also the largest resort chain in Corbett, with two upper upscale and one luxury resort, that adds up to the maximum number of keys in the world’s second most popular Wildlife National Park.
The Riverview Retreat, a wildlife resort spread across nine acres on the banks of the river Kosi, offers 90 well-appointed rooms, cottages and villas. Be it a wedding, an anniversary, a festive celebration, or any other type of special occasion, The Riverview Retreat is built for guests who enjoy privacy and comfort. With its intricately built private lawns, balconies, dining areas and picturesque scenery, the jungle resort offers travellers an exclusive leisure and adventure experience.
Highlighting the popularity of Corbett also as a wildlife weekend destination, Vibhas Prasad, director of Leisure Hotels, said: “Corbett is well connected to several big North Indian cities, which enables convenient travelling by road. Less than 5-hours’ drive from Delhi NCR, Corbett is a perfect weekend getaway. We anticipate a peak season this monsoon at our resorts here.”
The group has stepped up efforts at its properties in Corbett to cater to the surging demand by adhering to the adequate safety and social distancing protocols in place. This push towards a round-the-year tourism in Corbett will also support local communities whose livelihoods depend on it, Prasad added.
