Cruise heavy weights CLIA, announced the launch of of its Cruise360 event, which will kick-off in Valetta, Malta, from October 28 – 30. Aimed squarely at TA’s the event is open to travel agent members across Europe.
Focused on professional development Cruise360 offers agents the chance to build their skills and knowledge through conference sessions, ship visits, networking, and seminars on the latest industry trends — as well as by bringing agents, cruise lines and reps and ports & destinations and industry suppliers all together under one roof.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: “We are thrilled to announce that Cruise360 will be returning to Europe this year. CLIA understands the importance for travel agents to experience cruise destinations and new ships first hand so they can confidently sell cruise and get even more people choosing to book this type of holiday”.
“Malta is a growing cruise destination and its Unesco World Heritage capital is a real gem of a city. Delegates will not only have the chance to immerse themselves in this beautiful and historic cruise port with this special Cruise360 event, they will also be able to visit up to three luxury cruise ships and hear from experts both inside and outside the industry,” Harmer, added.
Whilst the final schedule is still being confirmed, on Monday 28 October, delegates will have the chance to visit one of two ships: Holland America Line’s Koningsdam or Regent Seven Seas’ Voyager. While Tuesday 29 October sees eventers attend a networking trade fair in followed by a ship visit onboard Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Edge.
CLIA will also hold a second 2019 event will be held specifically for CLIA Irish travel agents, which will include a ship visit and trade event. The Dublin Cruise Showcase will take place in Dublin on Princess Cruises’ Crown Princess on September 13.
