AccorHotels, a worldwide leader in the hotel and hospitality industry is set to open three more branches of its popular hotels in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
As a response to the expected rise of foreign visitors in the country, the French multinational hotel group will open two Novotel Hotels and one ibis Styles branch by the end of 2018, according to Patrick Basset, COO of AccorHotels for Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia.
“We are confident the hospitality and hotel industry will continue to grow in Cambodia. Flight traffic is increasing remarkably in the kingdom, and with more tourists, the need for more hotels is evident.” Patrick Basset, COO
The Novotel Hotels are already under construction in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, while the ibis Styles Hotel will be constructed in Siem Reap province.
AccorHotels is already covering the luxury market with its brands Raffles and Sofitel. In contrast, the new hotels will add an estimate of 600 mid-range rooms for the market that seeks more affordable accommodations.
The global hotel group accommodates millions of guests with over 4,200 hotels across 95 countries. Among these are four luxury hotels in Cambodia with a total of 735 rooms under the Raffles and Sofitel brands.
Also on recent news, AccorHotels opened its 800th landmark hotel, the Sofitel Singapore City and six luxury hotels in the Asia Pacific region.
