AccorHotels has launched the ibis budget London Luton Airport hotel located close to Luton Airport and Luton Parkway station.
Hotel employees will host guests in a more social and interactive way using mobile devices. Hotel functions, including check-in, housekeeping and breakfast will be managed by the device, enabling staff to move away from a traditional reception desk setup.
The move is part of AccorHotel’s new online check-in/fast check-out service, which provides guests with time-saving services such as online check-in four days prior to arrival, information sent via SMS and key drop facilities on departure.
Each of the 134 rooms feature ibis budget’s new bedroom concept, the Nest Room, with layout solutions such as a pull down single bed in the three-person room, which can be stowed away when not in use.
All rooms have an en-suite shower room and a flat-screen TV and free high-speed fibre Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel’s public areas. Continental breakfast, served daily from 4am – 10am costs £5.50.
James Wheatcroft, VP marketing UK&IRE at AccorHotels, said: “As with all ibis budget hotels, our new Luton Airport property offers a convenient location at a modest price. We know our millennial guests value a personal approach when dealing with hotel staff and the use of mobile technology caters to their needs. Furthermore, incorporating our Nest Room concept throughout the hotel is further evidence of ibis re-defining the guest experience while continuing to set the benchmark in economy hotels.”
