Abercrombie & Kent strengthens sales team
Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has announced that Richard Hey joined the business this week as agency sales manager covering the northern region. He is a familiar face in the luxury travel world having held roles at If Only and most recently, The Lux Collective.
Mark Harris continues in his role as agency sales manager looking after the south. The duo will be working closely with Sarah Turner and Laura Dawson, trade sales managers for Cox & Kings to drive their agent engagement programme for both programmes respectively. This strong team underpins the ongoing commitment to the trade from both brands, offering a comprehensive spectrum of luxury products and services to agent partners.
2020 is a big year for the A&K Group on the back of a year of significant change in 2019; a majority stake in A&K was acquired by investment company the Heritage Group, headed by Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio whose family founded ultra-luxury cruise company Silversea.
Kerry Golds, managing director of A&K Group said: “The trade is a crucial pillar of our business and has only gone from strength to strength over recent years. Richard’s expertise will be vital in an exciting time for A&K and C&K respectively.”
