The Peninsula Bangkok ushers in the Year of the Snake with feasts and frolics

The Peninsula Bangkok invites guests to celebrate the Year of the Snake with timeless elegance through a selection of festive experiences. 

From traditional celebrations and luxurious holiday hampers to specially curated Chinese New Year menus at the award-winning Mei Jiang.

The hotel’s lobbies are adorned with Chinese lanterns and vibrant red flowers, symbolising joy and prosperity, while captivating Lion and Dragon Dance performances, accompanied by traditional drums and cymbals, create a lively atmosphere, inviting guests to celebrate the season in Peninsula style. 

A festive venue

The Peninsula Bangkok will celebrate the Year of the Snake from 29 January 2025, Chinese New Year’s Day, with a dazzling Lion Dance performance symbolising prosperity and good fortune. 

The Lobby will be beautifully decorated with festive lanterns and vibrant red flowers. 

On 29 January 2025, guests are invited to enjoy the Lion and Dragon Dance Performance Show from 10 am onwards, marking the new year with an energetic display of cultural heritage.

Traditional flavours at Mei Jiang

To celebrate Chinese New Year, The Peninsula Bangkok invites guests to enjoy an exclusive dining experience at Mei Jiang from 28 January to 9 February.

The specially curated Chinese New Year dinner set menu showcases a selection of exquisite dishes, including Roasted Pork Belly, Fried Alaskan King Crab Leg with Homemade Salted Egg Yolk Paste, Steamed Red Grouper Fillet with Tianjin Preserved Vegetables and Soy Sauce, and Stir-Fried Japanese A3 Wagyu Sirloin with Black Garlic and Barbecue Sauce, among others. 

Each dish can be paired with an optional superb tea selection to enhance the flavours. For a more personalised experience, an à la carte menu is also available.

Dim sum delights

Mei Jiang offers an exquisite array of dim sum for lunch, made with fresh ingredients and a variety of flavours. 

Handcrafted dumplings and wok-style dishes bring an authentic touch to the Cantonese dim sum experience, providing a perfect way to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The Lunch Dim Sum Set Menu is meticulously crafted using traditional recipes and the finest ingredients, ensuring an authentic Cantonese flavour. 

Featured dishes include the Timeless Classic Har Gow, Barbecued Pork Puff, Black Truffle Dumpling, Braised Tiger Prawn with E-Fu Noodles, Crispy Shrimp Cheung Fun, and a unique Creamy Almond Soup with Deep-Fried Custard Sesame Ball, and many more.

The Peninsula Boutique presents luxurious Chinese New Year hampers filled with traditional delicacies, perfect for extending New Year wishes to loved ones and associates. 

The Prosperity Chinese New Year Hamper is priced at THB 8,888 net per set, the Wealth Hamper Set at THB 6,888 net per set, and the eight-piece Peninsula Egg Tart Box at THB 488 net per box.
