Philippine Airlines increases routes and frequencies for the Holidays
The Philippine flag-carrier also announced new routes for the coming year
Philippine flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is beefing up its flight frequencies and adding new routes in time for the holiday season.
In a statement, airline president Stanley Ng said: “Our goal is to help people reunite with their loved ones and we’re committed to expand our services to meet the needs of our customers and make holiday travel as convenient as possible.”
The airline also advised that the peak season ramp-up follows PAL’s expansion of regular flights in the past few months.
Flight frequency has also been increased between Manila and Hanoi, and to domestic destinations Cotabato, General Santos, Cebu, Davao, and Tagbilaran.
New flights for the holidays and beyond
For the season, PAL will mount the Cebu-Seoul Incheon flights from 21st December to 4th March, and will reintroduce its Cebu-Osaka Kansai service beginning 22nd December.
The airline is also deploying more wide-body aircraft on high-demand regional routes such as Manila-Tokyo (Narita), Manila-Bangkok, and Manila-Singapore.
Direct flights from Australia and the United States will have an additional weekly flight from Melbourne till 12th January, on top of a recently launched service from Seattle and an increase to daily services from Brisbane.
In terms of domestic destinations, PAL added 74 additional round trip flights on the following routes on 15th December and will keep them until 12th January: between Manila and Davao, Bacolod, Cagayan, Iloilo, Tacloban, Busuanga (Coron), Caticlan (Boracay), and Legazpi (Daraga), as well as between Cebu and Caticlan, Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Legazpi, Siargao, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban ,and Busuanga.
The airline’s new Manila-Cauayan flights will be taking off from 15th January.
