Hotel management company Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ghent – a 126-guestroom property on the outskirts of the Belgian city.
The hotel replaces the Holiday Inn Express Ghent with a newly built property and modern facilities, located next to the E17 and R4 motorways, as well as the KAA Ghent Football Stadium and University Hospital.
Its 126 guest rooms include suites with separate living areas and kitchenettes. The hotel also houses a boardroom for 10 people with a Smart Screen, a 24/7 Fitness Centre and underground parking facilities with electric vehicle charging stations.
David Anderson, divisional president at Aimbridge EMEA, said: “We’re excited to have opened the doors to the new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ghent – a great addition to our growing portfolio in the region, providing the perfect base, as well as convenience and comfort, for both leisure and business travellers visiting the city.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with our partners at IHG and drawing on our wealth of tried and trusted expertise to deliver a best-in-class guest experience for all.”
Guests staying at the hotel, which is located on the new ‘Akkerhage’ site on the outskirts of the city, can enjoy a free hot breakfast, 24/7 snacks and drinks, and free WiFi throughout.
