Kam Air and Euroairlines sign interline agreement

Euroairlines will be managing all routes for Afghan airline Kam Air as the airlines recently entered a new interline agreement.

By doing so, Kam Air gains access to a wider network of travel agents, OTAs, aggregators and consolidators in more than fifty countries that Spain’s Euroairlines provides through its IATA Q4-291 plate.

Kam Air chief commercial officer Akash Raj stated following the signing:“This partnership is a pivotal advancement for Kam Air, enabling us to leverage Euroairlines’ extensive distribution network to market and sell our routes more effectively. We are confident that this alliance will significantly broaden our sales reach, providing our customers with greater access to our services and enhancing our market presence”.

At present, Kam Air operates domestic flights within Afghanistan, as well as flights to key international destinations like India, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kuwait, and Iran. The airline also offers commercial scheduled passenger flights, charters and freight services

For mutual growth

Euroairlines CEO Antonio Lopez-Lázaro opined that this new alliance will enable the Afghan company to expand its business.

Lopez-Lázaro said: “Kam Air will benefit from the markets, channels and connectivity offered by Euroairlines, especially on its international routes”, he explains.

Euroairlines chief commercial officer Gregory Taffourad echoed this sentiment, and also pointed out how the agreement will also boost growth for their company.

According to Taffourad: “With the incorporation of Kam Air, Euroairlines substantially increases its connectivity between Central Asia and the Middle East, strategic markets for the development of the group in the next five years.”
