Lanson Place formally opens the Lanson Place Parliament Gardens in Melbourne
The property is Lanson Place’s first hotel in Australia
Lanson Place opened its first-ever hotel in Australia, the Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, in the heart of Melbourne.
The five-star boutique hotel weaves together a unique mix of heritage and modernity as it is housed in the historic 1901 Salvation Army Printing Works building, located in Albert Street, East Melbourne.
Lanson Place Hospitality Management CEO Michael Hobson said: “Today marks the beginning of our growth into Australia and the creation of a lasting connection with the vibrant city of Melbourne. We are wholly committed to providing exceptional service and unforgettable experiences for all our guests.”
Internationally renowned for its warm, family-like hospitality, Lanson Place brings a new level of comfort to guests travelling to Melbourne.
Whether one is in the city for the bustling cultural calendar, a hectic work assignment, or a peaceful retreat, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens will immediately make guests feel at home in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
Exceptional by design
The hotel offers 137 rooms and guests can choose from sophisticated hotel rooms, studios and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, or elevate their stay with one of two exquisite penthouses boasting panoramic views of Melbourne’s iconic skyline.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel features a 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool and spa, along with a 24-hour Fitness Centre equipped with Technogym equipment.
More than 450 commissioned artworks and sculptures are displayed throughout the hotel, adding to its distinctive character.
Across the ceiling of the hotel lobby, a captivating 40-metre art installation is inspired by the native Melaleuca paperbark tree. The layers of the installation peel away like a manuscript, gliding gracefully in a nod to the building’s heritage as the Salvation Army Printing Works.
The lobby also hosts Chronicle 502 Bar & Dining, the hotel’s restaurant and bar, offering a modern Australian menu alongside classic hotel dishes.
