FHA-HoReCa 2024 casts spotlight on sustainable foodservice and hospitality
FHA-Food & Beverage’s FHA-HoReCa is slated for 22 to 25 October
This October, Asia’s top F&B trade show FHA-HoReCa returns and will be staged at the Singapore EXPO.
The region’s premier event for the hospitality, restaurant, and catering sectors runs from 22 to 25 October and will centre on sustainable tourism in the Asia-Pacific and how it relates to the hospitality and food and beverage industries in the region.
Event organiser FHA-Food & Beverage expects around 45,000 trade attendees from 70 regions, along with over 800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. Countries presenting national pavilions include China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, and Taiwan.
Organisers also foresee a 30 percent increase in new exhibitors across the event’s five core segments.
Singapore at the forefront of sustainability
As sustainability is the primary theme for this year’s event, hosting it in Singapore is actually a most appropriate choice.
In recent years, up to 40 percent of hotels in the country have sought to test innovative technologies in order to achieve Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) certification.
As its way of supporting such endeavours, FHA-HoReCa will introduce its Future of Hospitality Seminar, a forum where hospitality industry leaders may gather to discuss key themes and innovations that could change the face of the sector within the region and beyond.
Focused on fostering innovation and sustainability, this seminar will feature speakers from hotel associations from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand; Singapore Institute of Technology; the Global Sustainable Tourism Council; and SPORE Gardens.
Discussions will revolve around three themes: envisioning the future of hospitality; sustainability and hotel design; and technology and innovation.
