Day 1: Verbier to Cabane de Louvie – 12km
Guests will ease into their adventure with the renowned Sentier des Chamois hike. The day culminates with an overnight stay at Cabane de Louvie, perched at 2250 metres beside a serene mountain lake within a nature reserve.
Day 2: Cabane de Louvie to Cabane des Dix – 23km
Ascending 23 km towards the glaciers, hikers will traverse the winter Haute Route, ending their day at Cabane des Dix, which offers sweeping panoramic views of the dramatic icy landscape.
Day 3: Cabane des Dix to Cabane de Moiry – 22km
Hikers will return to the traditional pathway, culminating in a stay at Cabane de Moiry, dramatically situated on the edge of a glacier.
Day 4: Cabane de Moiry to Hotel Weisshorn – 24km
Day four concludes with a stay at Hotel Weisshorn, located at 2337 metres and surrounded by imposing 4000-metre peaks.
Day 5: Hotel Weisshorn to Taschalp – 25km
Crossing into the valley between Zinal and Zermatt, hikers will navigate two mountain cols, enveloped by majestic peaks.
Day 6: Taschalp to Zermatt – Flexible
The final day follows the famed Europaweg and 5 Lakes Trail, with the iconic Matterhorn as a breath-taking backdrop. Hikers can choose to descend into Zermatt or opt for a lift.
