Mercure Sydney named official hotel partner for Sydney Fringe Festival
The hotel plays host to the iconic Soweto Gospel Choir
Organisers of the Sydney Fringe Festival named Mercure Sydney as the official accommodation for the event which returns this September.
The hotel also has the honour of hosting one of the key acts for this year’s festival, the renowned Soweto Gospel Choir.
In this capacity, Mercure Sydney offers guests a range of exclusive benefits, including access to show tickets and opportunities for corporate entertaining.
Hotel general manager Ben Murphy expressed his delight to work with the Sydney Fringe Festival and how Mercure Sydney stands to contribute to its success by extending gracious hospitality to the Soweto Gospel Choir and other participating acts.
Murphy said: “Sydney Fringe Festival is one of Australia’s most innovative and captivating celebrations of arts and culture. It is another great reason to visit the city during September.”
Sydney Fringe Festival CEO and festival director Kerri Glasscock added: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Mercure Sydney as the official hotel partner for the Sydney Fringe Festival 2024.
“Both organisations are deeply committed to the development of our city’s cultural life and this partnership will amplify that commitment by making possible the performances of the incredible Soweto Gospel Choir who are headlining the festival. We can’t wait to share their music with Sydney and look forward to celebrating in September.”
