&Beyond expands South America portfolio with its Galapagos Explorer
The conservation-centric luxury travel firm now offers two routes in the east and west Galapagos Islands
Sustainability-driven luxury travel company &Beyond just expanded its portfolio in South America to include its first expedition yacht to explore the famed Galapagos Islands.
The &Beyond Galapagos Explorer sails two seven-night routes in the vicinity, one to the eastern islands, the other to the west.
The 38-metre vessel is equipped with six elegantly furnished suites and cabins, allowing for a total of twelve guests along with two expert guides on each trip. Thanks to this, the guest-to-staff ratio makes the Galapagos Explorer the most exclusive yacht operating in the islands.
Plus, together with its expert guides, the vessel also offers beautifully appointed spacious indoor and outdoor guest areas, as well as four exquisite cabins and two luxury suites.
Go east, go west
Operating on two different 7-night itineraries, the &Beyond Galapagos Explorer offers the choice of discovering the east or the west of the main cluster of islands, while including the highlights of the destination in both.
Those opting for the eastern itinerary get to see the magnificent formation of Kicker Rock, located just off San Cristóbal Island, as well as sightings of the critically endangered waved albatross in Gardner Bay on Española Island.
Those on the western Itinerary, on the other hand, may explore the geographical centre of the Galapagos Islands, Sombrero Chino Island, perhaps coming into a close encounter with the rare Santa Fe land iguana on Santa Fe Island.
Both itineraries present plenty of opportunities for land and sea adventures such as snorkelling, hiking and birdwatching, as well as a plethora of unique and interesting land, air and marine species. R
