TAP resumes flights to Manaus
TAP Air Portugal has announced it will resume flights between Lisbon and Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonia, Brazil. From 4 November 2024, the airline will operate three weekly flights, with a stop in Belém, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
With flights to Manaus resuming, the airline will be present in 13 capital cities and have 15 routes from Europe to Brazil (13 from Lisbon and two from Porto).
TAP previously flew to Manaus from 2014 to 2016. Tickets for the flights between London and Manaus through Lisbon are now available on flytap.com and at travel agencies, with promotional prices for return flights starting at £669 in Economy Class and £1699 in Business Class, including all taxes and charges.
Luís Rodrigues, CEO of TAP, said: “Brazil is strategic for TAP and the return of flights to Manaus highlights our commitment to invest in the development of our operations in the country.
“We recently launched a new route to Florianópolis and we will end this year with at least 15 routes to Brazil; a record number for the airline.
“Our aim is to bring more tourists to Brazil, not just from Portugal but from all over the world. TAP flies to more than 60 destinations in Europe and Africa, which can be flown by Brazilians via Lisbon and Porto. With TAP resuming flights to Manaus, we will continue to be the leading international airline in Brazil.”
During the summer, TAP offers 95 weekly flights to Brazil, an average of 13 flights a day, arriving into 13 Brazilian state capitals.
For 10 consecutive years, TAP has been voted Europe’s Leading Airline to South America by the World Travel Awards, in recognition of its excellent service. In 2023, it received the MICE Award for Best European Company.
