This is Beyond, the curator of iconic travel events like PURE Life Experiences, L.E/Miami and We Are Africa, has announced that the closing date for registrations to attend Further East 2023 is on Monday 14 August 2023. Enjoying a remarkable 25 percent growth from 2022, the fourth edition of Asia Pacific’s most innovative barefoot luxury travel trade event will return to Seminyak, Bali, from 6 to 9 November 2023. Against the breath-taking backdrop of Balinese coastal landscape and rich cultural heritage, Further East will once again gather the brightest minds and trailblazers in the luxury travel sector united by this year’s theme: “Right Here. Right Now.”
To mark the start of the inspiring week, Further East’s signature un-conference, Open House, will return to Potato Head Beach Club with a third stage to accommodate the long list of events. Dedicated to celebrating creativity and innovation in the industry, Open House focuses on topics and trends making waves in the diverse and dynamic APAC region. The half-day un-conference includes immersive workshops and grooving to live beachside tunes while enjoying Bali’s famous sunset.
An advocate of being in the present moment, Further East provides a physical space and moment in time, where the travel community meets, collaborates, and leaves renewed. This year’s show has garnered a collection of the region’s biggest innovators to introduce new ways of navigating the new era of luxury travel. Two new hotel partners, namely Hotel Indigo Bali and The Samaya Seminyak, will join esteemed pioneers of the Further East community, such as Alila Seminyak, W Bali Seminyak, Potato Head Beach Club, and The Legian Bali Seminyak.
An impressive lineup of over 30 Pre- and Post-Show Tours will augment the show experience with appealing offers to explore and immerse fully in the enchanting beauty of Bali and beyond. In addition to the local hotel partners, Further East has confirmed partnerships with forward-thinking brands, such as Flywire, JOALI Maldives, Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), Heritance Aarah, Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB), Bliss Maldives, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and Luxury Escapes. These partners will further enrich the event experience to offer a diverse range of perspectives and insights.
Following the main event, Further East and NIHI Sumba will host the inaugural Further East Leadership Summit from 10 to 13 November 2023. This exclusive three-day summit by the sea is an intimate gathering of Asia Pacific’s most influential travel leaders to collaborate, discuss ideas and shape the future of travel in the region. Ideas generated will then be shared with the wider Further Easy community at the start of 2024, to ensure that everyone has opportunities to benefit from the summit.
Founder and CEO of This is Beyond, Serge Dive, shared his excitement over this year’s theme, stating “Further East 2023 is a celebration of contrasts where opposites meet so that diverse elements create a vibrant tapestry of culture, technology, and spirituality. This year’s theme, “Right Here. Right Now.” channels the energy and momentum of the present moment to inspire and galvanise the Further East community. We are heartened to witness the event’s unprecedented 25 percent growth and welcome the convergence of like-minded partners and forward-thinking guests.”
