The upmarket cruise line and leader in Destination Immersion® experiences – is expanding its support for valued trade partners this summer, as the line welcomes 300 agents onboard Azamara Pursuit and Journey® for a series of ship visits across the UK and Ireland.
Azamara’s enhanced sales team, led by Head of Trade Sales UK & Ireland, Stuart Pearce, will host a total of ten visits in seven different ports, from Aberdeen to Southampton, engaging with both loyal and prospective trade partners from all corners of the British Isles.
Giving agents the opportunity to experience the product first-hand and get under the skin of the brand, the intimate group visits will include a full tour of the ship, from staterooms to the entertainment and dining venues, and a three-course lunch at one of the specialty restaurants, Aquilina with a representative from Azamara.
The programme starts this week in Greenock, Scotland on Thursday 20th July, and is quickly followed by Liverpool (22nd and 23rd July), Leith (31st July), Aberdeen (21st August), Dublin (30th August), Belfast (31st August) and finally, Southampton (8th September), before Journey® heads south for her summer season on the Mediterranean.
Stuart Pearce, Head of Trade Sales UK & Ireland at Azamara comments: “We have had an incredible response from agents wanting to attend these visits, and are delighted to be welcoming so many onboard this summer, some of which will be experiencing Azamara for the very first time”.
He continues: “Trade sales currently account for the majority of our bookings here in the UK, so it’s extremely important to us that we continue to strengthen our fantastic network of partners, as we target continued growth in the market and globally”.
The visits taking place this summer are the latest in a series of recent announcements from Azamara that deliver greater support for the trade, for example the launch of a new trade loyalty platform that rewards UK agents and advisors when booking with Azamara, and regular incentives, including uplifts and competitions.
