Hong Kong International Airport Kicks Off “World of Winners” Air Ticket Giveaway Campaign in Beijing
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) hosted an event in Beijing to introduce the “World of Winners” air ticket giveaway campaign to media in the capital city. The event was hosted by Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK, with Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) as guest of honour. Representatives from the Office of the Government of the HKSAR of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the participating airlines of Hong Kong, also attended.
“World of Winners” is launched in support of the HKSAR Government’s “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign to welcome visitors back to the city and to support the recovery of Hong Kong’s aviation industry after the pandemic. AAHK has sponsored 500,000 tickets which are being offered by three home-based airlines of Hong Kong to travellers from around the world. Of the 500,000 tickets, 140,000 tickets will be distributed to Mainland travellers for visiting Hong Kong, and 80,000 tickets to Greater Bay Area residents for flying to international destinations via Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
Starting later this month, the tickets will be given away to Mainland travellers through activities organised by Hong Kong’s three home-based carriers: Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong Express and Hong Kong Airlines. Prior to today’s event in Beijing, a media launch event for the ticket giveaway campaign was held in Shanghai on 15 April. This coming Saturday (22 April), “World of Winners” will officially land in Guangzhou.
