Lion Travel Group partners with Amadeus
Lion Travel Group, Taiwan’s largest travel agency, is working with technology provider Amadeus to support its expansion plan in growing its footprint in Taiwan and across Asia Pacific. The collaboration will see Lion Travel implement New Distribution Capability (NDC) as well as Master Pricer Instant Search to enhance its retailing capabilities, making this a first step in its digital transformation journey.
This partnership will ensure Lion Travel can provide richer, NDC-sourced content that is available on Amadeus Travel Platform using the Amadeus Travel API, to its customers in Asia Pacific. This NDC-enabled solution delivers a holistic, end-to-end integration that allows travel sellers to not only search, book and service NDC-sourced content at scale, but also to compare it alongside other types of content in one merged display, and with a deep integration into the existing travel seller ecosystem for maximum efficiency.
Jason Wang, Chairman, Lion Travel Group said: “We are excited to see the strong recovery of outbound leisure travel in Taiwan which is the largest business generator for our industry. Our partnership with Amadeus means we are well equipped to capture the changing needs of our customers as we emerge from the pandemic. We have started working on projects to revamp our technology platform to provide a frictionless travel experience for our customers, either online or offline. Powered by Amadeus’ powerful search solutions, we believe this will open a world of opportunity for us.”
Lion Travel Group will also implement Amadeus Master Pricer Instant Search to deliver a frictionless search and shopping experience to its customers. Used by the world’s leading online travel agencies and metasearch companies, the solution serves up the best bookable recommendations for any given search request in a sub-second to deliver a seamless search, order and buy experience.
Javier Lafourgue, Executive Vice President, Travel Unit, Asia Pacific, Amadeus, said: “We are privileged to be collaborating with Lion Travel. This multi-year agreement is a testament to both the strength of our partnership and Lion Travel’s commitment to transform its technology and lay the foundation to modern retailing. We look forward to supporting its growth and help deliver content and services at the right touchpoints in their travelers’ journey.”
