HKIA SkyPier to resume ferry transfer service to/ from Macao starting 30 Dec
Ferry transfer service between SkyPier of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Macao will resume starting from 30 December 2022, providing cross-boundary transport service for sea-to-air and air-to-sea transfer passengers.
TurboJET, the ferry operator of the said service, will be operating one round-trip between SkyPier and Macao Taipa Ferry Terminal every Friday and Sunday. Ferry to Macao will depart at 0945hrs from SkyPier, while the ferry from Macao will arrive at SkyPier at 1540hrs.
Meanwhile, the sea-to-air transfer ferry service from Shenzhen Shekou Port to SkyPier has resumed since October 2020. The number of trips running daily has also been increased from two to five.
Passengers should check with ferry operators for ticketing arrangement.
Connecting to the Greater Bay Area, SkyPier provides speedy sea-to-air and air-to-sea ferry services to transfer passengers travelling to/ from overseas destinations via HKIA. Transfer passengers from the Greater Bay Area can complete check-in and immigration procedures at the ports and take the ferry, then proceed directly to boarding gates in the airport restricted area for boarding upon arrival at SkyPier, without having to go through immigration procedures again at HKIA.
Airport Authority Hong Kong has been maintaining close communications with the relevant departments and the ferry operators, with an aim to resume the sea-to-air ferry service from other ports in Mainland China, as well as the air-to-sea ferry service from SkyPier to Mainland China the soonest.
