Determination and initiative have propelled Four Seasons into an exciting new business venture: Four Seasons Yachts. Nadim Ashi and Philip Levine, two of the world’s foremost luxury businessmen and visionaries of this extraordinary yacht experience, have joined forces with Four Seasons to launch this new venture. Fincantieri, one of the world’s leading shipbuilding groups, will deliver the first brand-new vessel by 2025. About EUR 1.2 billion was spent on the deal, which was announced in July and included the option for two other boats.
Discriminating guests wishing to redefine their love of travel by experiencing the splendour of contemporary sea voyaging will be drawn to the first Four Seasons Yacht, thanks to its unique workmanship, personalised service, and devotion to perfection.
“Four Seasons Yachts represents the next chapter in our long history of industry-leading innovation, as well as a major milestone for our company as we continue to capitalise on new opportunities to expand the world of Four Seasons,” says Christian Clerc, President of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “True vision is the ability to envisage possibilities while keeping true to one’s ideals.”
“That is exactly what our goal for this new enterprise entails. We are developing something unique with our partners at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, combining their experience with what Four Seasons does best – offering unrivalled quality and perfection, surrounded by beautiful acts of service and affection for our guests.”
The first Four Seasons ship will measure 207 metres (679 feet) in length, 27 metres (88.6 feet) in width, and have 14 decks, and it is expected to make its first voyage in late 2025. At a whopping USD 4.2 million per suite, no detail is overlooked in the exceptional bespoke design. In an all-suite nautical residential environment, the first Four Seasons Yacht will provide approximately 50 percent more living space per guest than is currently available.
Larry Pimentel, a seasoned expert in the high-end tourism business, will be in charge of the new company. Together with Four Seasons, we are pioneering a brand-new market segment in the premium lifestyle travel industry. We are building the gold standard in yachting through world-class design, customised experiences, and genuinely excellent service,” adds Pimentel. After our 2025 debut, no other vessel will be quite like it. Together with Fincantieri, we form a trio of market leaders for this ground-breaking luxury lifestyle initiative.
A Yacht Fit for the Four Seasons
The ship’s 95 suites may be combined in numerous ways, giving passengers the freedom and privacy of a villa. All suites will have large windows that stretch from floor to ceiling, letting in an abundance of natural light and offering direct access to outdoor patio spaces. There will be a new standard of visitor comfort thanks to the mix of spacious interior and outdoor private guest space and ceiling heights of more than 2.4 metres (7.9 feet).
Each suite will include an outside terrace or balcony measuring at least 54 square metres (581 square feet). Approximately 60% of the ship’s contents are more than 76 square metres (818 square feet) in size. More than 892 square metres (9,601 square feet) of indoor and outdoor space, a private wading pool, and a dedicated private spa area make the four-story “Funnel Suite” the most spacious property.
The ship’s restaurants, lounges and bars will showcase the Four Seasons’ commitment to culinary innovation and thoughtfulness towards passenger preferences. Whether it’s a perfect cappuccino in the lobby, a lunch inspired by the Mediterranean, a tasting at the sushi bar for dinner, or a glass of champagne on the breathtaking terrace, guests are never far from a gourmet meal served with breathtaking views of the sea and the hotel’s renowned intuitive service.
The spa and salon on board the Four Seasons Yacht will be fully equipped to cater to the needs of its customers. They will also provide guests with various wellness programmes, from physical activity to nutritional guidance. An enormous pool deck, in the traditional canoe shape, will be located aft of the vessel. Various private events will be held here, and the area may also be used as an outdoor movie theatre. Guests may sunbathe, swim, and play with the latest aquatic recreation equipment at the beautiful transversal marina. Until its delivery in late 2025, the ship’s many one-of-a-kind features and programming will be kept under wraps.
A professional team from Four Seasons Yacht will oversee and staff the yacht to ensure that the itinerary and ports of call are brought to life for guests. This one will provide unparalleled levels of customised service with a higher ratio of employees to passengers than any other ship in its class.
Fincantieri, one of the world’s major shipbuilding groups, is now designing the first of a fleet of Four Seasons Yachts over the next five years.
