Job title:
Network Domain Architect – Senior
Purpose:
The role of the Domain Architect is responsible for the development of the overall vision the underlies the projected service or product. They will organize the development effort of a service solution in line with the vision.
Network Domain Architect will be an expert in the domain and will be the link between the product manager and the engineering functions.
The Network Domain Architect will play a crucial role in driving adoption of networking, routing, switching and firewalling services within Flight Centre Travel Group globally. They will deliver a hands-on service both inside ETS and to the wider business group and play a key part in driving network initiatives forward.

Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)
Network Architecture
Designing target state architecture of ETS Network platforms for new greenfield developments.
Designing target state architecture of ETS Network platforms for migration of existing platforms
Designing migration documentation to support migration path for migrating platforms
Business Focus/Business awareness
Raising awareness of Network capabilities within the ETS business in relation to implementation of new and existing platforms
Vendor Management
Building rapport with colleagues within EA team as well as within other ETS pillars
Building rapport with key SMEs and business representatives from the wider business area

Experience:
(Minimum level of experience required for the role)
Proven experience of defining Network Architecture design and migration documentation, assisting in the delivery of Enterprise-level network Architecture as well as experience of hands-on implementation of initiatives in networking and firewalling.
Solid understanding of Networking as well as experience of designing and transferring applications and systems.
Experience of securing public and private (LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and Internet) solutions plus an understanding of emerging security technologies.
Ability to initiate, evaluate and influence technology projects from the networking perspective
Ability to clearly articulate networking proposals to business groups, management, ETS stakeholders and other IT development partners
Strong experience in a multi-disciplined team is critical with excellent communication skills in order to effectively share knowledge
Good collaborative skills in order to work effectively with a variety of other architecture and business stakeholder roles in the organization
Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
Understanding of Application architecture and system integration architecture
Experience in evaluating existing data center and digital strategies
Experience in conducting, reviewing and creating network diagrams
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
Identifying, analyzing and reporting on risk as relevant to network and firewall infrastructure.
