First virtual shopping mall to drive new revenue stream to travel sector
Former Singapore Airlines, AirAsia and EasyJet executive, Barry Klipp, has set up InterLnkd, a new technology company, enabling travel organisations to generate a new and free additional revenue stream from their existing bookings.
InterLnkd partners with companies across the travel sphere including agents, hoteliers, airlines and operators to provide a new cost-free ancillary revenue stream. The income is generated through additional purchases made by their customers across major brands in fashion, beauty, and retail.
it uses proprietary technology to perfectly match travel bookings with the right products their customers will want and need for the holidays they have just booked. Every purchase by the travel partner’s customer draws a commission which is shared with the travel partner for free.
The company’s Chief Executive, Barry Klipp, explains more: “Traditionally the industry has upsold travel insurance, car hire and activities, but they have never drawn on an ancillary revenue stream from the fashion, beauty and retail products their customers buy for the holidays they have just purchased. InterLnkd changes this, whether it’s swimwear and suntan lotion for that beach holiday, ski jackets and salopettes for that ski getaway, or jeans and backpacks for that city escape, we are delighted to offer this new revenue stream to the industry, for free to our travel partners.
With over 1,000 brands on the InterLnkd platform, including ASOS, Harvey Nichols, Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, WHSmith and Boots, we are able to offer every travel partner their own shopping mall for their customers – with every purchase generating income with minimal effort.”
