India signs air bubble pact with Australia. Here’s what you need to know
Australia has finally joined the list of countries that has a travel bubble with India. The newest country in its travel bubble list, the new bubble will allow all eligible passengers to travel between the two countries.
With Australia joining the list, India now has air bubble agreements with 33 nations, which means that Indians can travel to these countries even as regular international flights remain shut, at least until 31 January.
Australian airline Qantas has recently started flights between Sydney and New Delhi. The airline is also set to start flights between New Delhi and Melbourne before Christmas. Air India operated direct flights connecting New Delhi with Melbourne and Sydney before international flights were suspended by the Indian government.
