We are on the search for a Digital Platform Specialist who wants to own and nurture the growth of our digital communication platforms.
As the Digital Platform Specialist, you are a key member of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) Communications Team that is responsible for implementing internal and external communications strategies and related platforms. In this role you will be responsible for managing FCTG’s digital communication platforms, including (but not limited to) SharePoint, Intranets, Workplace, MS Teams, Whispir, and our websites.
What you will be doing
This is a hybrid role that is the conduit between FCTG’s brands, Communications Team, and IT. The role is critical in understanding global and local business requirements when it comes to digital communication channels and translating them into technical demands. You will work closely with the IT product owners to build strategic roadmaps for each platform, and with the Communications Team to embed and promote the channels.
You’ll be perfect for this role if you can showcase:
Communications or IT experience, with experience in SharePoint administration, and a proven record working with a diverse range of business stakeholders.
Knowledge and understanding of communications strategies and principles, best practice and emerging digital communication trends and technologies.
Technical Skills Required:
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 applications, in particular MS Teams. Knowledge of Microsoft’s roadmap of new product releases, in particular Viva.
Experience with administration of Workplace or Yammer.
Technical knowledge of development / coding practices for website creation (HTML, CSS, SQL etc maybe required).
Solid understanding of web development techniques and methods.
Previous experience in project management and running workshops/discovery sessions to define business requirements.
Other Skills Required:
Creative flair including “outside the box” thinking concerning content organisation and tagging.
Logical and analytical skills, including the ability to master technical concepts.
Understanding of structure and architecture for content build and admin.
Excellent verbal and written skills – demonstrated ability to write and deliver training material to a diverse group of stakeholders.
Prior experience with building and managing content hubs, in particular intranets.
