Global recruitment firm, TMS Talent, has acquired digital and technology specialist recruitment business, Scout Talent. This key move effective 13 July 2020 is in line with TMS Talent’s strategic growth plan.
Sydney headquartered Scout Talent (Scout) www.scouttalent.co provides digital and technology talent to clients across a range of industry sectors. Scout is known for offering a consultative approach in response to accelerating digital and technology shifts and demands in businesses. Scout’s philosophy is to provide solutions to its clients and job seekers by offering training and people development in addition to the full recruitment process in turn developing a supportive and more networked community.
“We have a clear vision and unwavering drive and passion to continue providing high touch recruitment services to our clients across the travel and hospitality sectors as we navigate our way through the current market conditions brought on our industry by the COVID 19 pandemic. Being awarded the Travel Recruiter of the Year 2019 at the Travel Awards in Sydney really affirmed our position as the leader in the travel and hospitality recruitment sector” said Group Managing Director John Terry. “This paved the way for the next phase of our growth plan to diversify into the digital and technology sector.”
With the acquisition of Scout, TMS Talent welcomes Scout Managing Director, Patrick Flaherty, who will head up TMS Talent’s ANZ region as Sales Director. Patrick has 15 years’ experience in technology recruitment roles across the UK and Australia and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, most recently spending 7 years heading up Scout. Also joining the TMS Talent team from Scout is Associate Director, Jamie Ware. Jamie’s team specialises in providing high quality talent to clients within the advertising creative and marketing sectors.
“TMS Talent’s values and vision translating into its strong and well-respected service offering to their market was evident and a major factor in our decision to make this move” Said Scout Managing Director, Patrick Flaherty. “Jamie and I are thrilled with the outcome and are committed to a seamless transition for our clients and job seekers whilst we all mutually benefit from the coming together of two strong specialist brands.”
The teams from both TMS Talent and Scout are delighted with the news and looking forward to this next chapter in TMS Talent’s 26-year journey.
Chairman, Steve Hamblin, commented “The acquisition of Scout is a natural progression for us as we continue to position ourselves as a brand synonymous with being specialist in our chosen markets and disciplines. Scout’s market is an exciting place and strategically where we need to be. It will also provide further learning opportunities for current and future staff.”
John Terry added “As we look to the future, TMS Talent remains steadfast in our commitment to providing award winning services across our sectors. Having met with Patrick and the team at Scout it was clear to me that this is the perfect opportunity to expand into the digital/technology sector, delivering both stakeholder growth and additional opportunities for staff.”
