ETOA sets stage for 12th Britain & Ireland Marketplace
The European Tour Operators Association (ETOA) will welcome nearly 90 new businesses to its first flagship event of 2020 – the twelfth Britain & Ireland Marketplace (BIM) – on 28 January at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
BIM, which showcases the best of UK and Irish tourism product to tour operators and other global buyers expects to host over 250 delegates and generate over 6,500 contracting appointments. New tourism attractions and hotels exhibiting in 2020 include Canterbury Cathedral, Eden Project, National Trust For Scotland, Visit Herts, Westminster Abbey, Lost Gardens of Heligan, glh Hotels and Heritage Ireland. They will join established suppliers such as VisitBritain, Visit Wales, Historic Royal Palaces and Leeds Castle.
New buyers include Crystal Travel, LH Global Group, Elite Voyages, Golden Tours, Interopa Holidays, Ritz Tours, Sovereign Tourism, Travel Corporation Asia, Wens Travel and 365 Tickets who will join returning buyers such as G2 Travel, Kuoni Global Travel Services and Rail Bookers.
Tom Jenkins, CEO at ETOA said: “Our Britain & Ireland Marketplace is the first major tourism event in the calendar year, and 2020 is set to be a record year for visitor numbers and spending to the UK and Ireland. This year will also be a historic year for the UK and Ireland with our sector needing to keep a close eye on political developments.”
