Hotel G Yangon
Purple is the colour of this festive season at Hotel G Yangon.
At the hotel’s speciality eatery & bar Babett, the executive chef Christophe Buzare has created a menu filled with festive dishes that include items perfect for sharing.
For starters, savour the Quail and Foie-Gras Tourte, a traditional French style pie served with a Perigord black truffle sauce. For main, indulge in Babett’s La Cote d’Boeuf Charolaise, which is 1.2kg of renowned French Charolaise beef known for its exceptional premium quality. For a sweet finish, enjoy Violet Macarons for that extra purple touch, or the Vacherin Glace, a perfect way to say cheers to a wonderfully festive evening.
Babett’s festive menus are available from 15 December until 10 January 2020.
The Strand Yangon
This year, The Strand Yangon promises its most memorable holiday season yet!
From a large Christmas tree made of champagne bottles and Moët & Hennessy champagne cocktails in The Sarkies Bar to festive dining at The Strand Café and gastronomic dinners at The Strand Restaurant, The Strand Yangon brings an elegant touch to the traditional celebrations.
The Strand Yangon features a stunning 11-foot high champagne Christmas tree in the lobby created from 50 bottles of Moët & Hennessy’s signature champagne, Veuve Clicquot, all in the brand’s iconic orange and green livery.
And as 2020 approaches, The Strand Yangon will be transformed into a lavish party venue that The Great Gatsby himself would be proud of. From 7 pm onwards on 31 December, there will be live music in the Sarkies Bar, while in the lobby, clips from nostalgic black and white festive films will be projected onto the walls, before a clock appears to count down the final hours, minutes and seconds to midnight.
