Eurowings adds Gdansk and Sofia to new offerings
Eurowings route network has added two new destinations for the winter timetable 2019/2020. With the Polish city Gdansk as well as Sofia in Bulgaria, the airline is further expanding its eastern European programme. From 27 October 2019, Eurowings will be flying to the airport of Gdansk four times a week from Düsseldorf. The route will be operated Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The connection from Düsseldorf to Sofia will start on 28 October. The route will be served three times a week – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From 27 October, Eurowings will also be flying from Stuttgart Airport to the Bulgarian capital on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Gdansk is known as the ‘golden city’ because of its amber deposits and is located on the Baltic coast of Poland. The colourful old town invites to explore. There are many historical buildings, monuments, the harbour area or the amber museum to discover.
The Bulgarian capital Sofia can be recognised by the golden domes, belonging to the famous Nevsky Cathedral, even from a wider distance. As one of the oldest cities in the world, Sofia impresses not only with its historical buildings, but also with its diverse nature.
