Finnair grows operations in China
Finnair has added capacity to Beijing with three weekly flights to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport, which opens for operation on 30 September 2019. Finnair will operate to Beijing International Daxing Airport as of 3 November 2019 with an Airbus A330 aircraft. The new frequencies are in addition to Finnair’s daily flights to Beijing Capital Airport.
Talking about the new development, Ole Orvér, chief commercial officer, Finnair said, “With the new flights, we are offering even better connections between Beijing and our 100 destinations in Europe. Our aim is to continue to grow our presence in China. The new Beijing Daxing International Airport will become a key hub for international travel to and from China and will serve our customers well.”
The new frequencies connect smoothly to Finnair’s network of over 100 destinations in Europe, allowing travellers short flight times and convenient transfers via Helsinki.
Finnair operates to seven destinations in Greater China, and China is among Finnair’s top markets globally. This spring, Finnair announced codeshare collaborations with Juneyao Air and with China Southern, which brought 13 new Chinese destinations to Finnair’s customers.
