For the first time, the two privately-owned Italian companies have announced a partnership to offer guests additional convenience and an ‘ultra-luxury’ experience both by land and by sea.
Rocco Forte Hotels is a family-run business with a collection of 11 luxury hotels and resorts, while Silversea Cruises is a major luxury cruise line, which offers large-ship amenities aboard its intimate, all-suite vessels. Silversea’s intimate ships are small enough to sail up narrow waterways, giving convenient access to the doorsteps of Rocco Forte Hotels.
Sir Rocco Forte, chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels said: “Having known Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio [chairman of Silversea Cruises] for many years, it is a particular pleasure to enter into a partnership with a company with such similar roots to our own. Together, we will share the best of land and sea whilst providing our guests with the exceptional personalised service that is common to both our brands.”

The newly-formed alliance will provide regular benefits for guests of both companies. Silversea is offering exclusive benefits to guests of Rocco Forte Hotels including savings on rates, VIP treatment at embarkation, a private culinary event for two, and a dinner invitation at the captain or senior officers table. Meanwhile, guests staying at any Rocco Forte hotel will be given upgrades, transfers and unpacking services at the hotel, as well as VIP amenities.
The union is a perfect match with Silversea’s signature Italian hospitality and Rocco Forte’s Anglo-Italian flair. With the partnership, guests can round off a cruise with an overnight stay at the elegant Brown’s Hotel in London. After the Silversea ship docks along the Thames at the scenic Tower Bridge, guests will be transported straight to their hotel.
In addition, they can also enjoy a night at the Hotel de Russie in Rome, before embarking on a Mediterranean journey from the ancient city of Civitavecchia. Europe’s well-known ports are part of its crafted itineraries and guests will also be provided with gourmet cuisine prepared by Silversea’s expert chefs.
It is with shared values that we cooperate to bring extraordinary service to our guests
“I am extremely happy to welcome Rocco Forte Hotels as a partner of Silversea,” commented Lefebvre. “Sir Rocco Forte and I share a personal friendship that was formed long ago. Now, it is with shared values that we cooperate to bring extraordinary service to our guests.”
