Great news for diving, snorkelling and watersports aficionados: Centara Hotels & Resorts is now offering all-inclusive packages at their two resorts in the Maldives – the adults-only Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa and the family-friendly Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa.
With the Gold and Ultimate All-Inclusive packages, visitors can enjoy snorkelling and diving tours, bringing them up close and personal with an abundance of marine species. The packages include options for scuba diving, whale shark spotting, and underwater adventures in a semi-submarine.
Couples craving for a romantic hideaway may choose to stay at the Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa. It’s set on an island in the North Malé Atoll and features a collection of 140 beachfront and overwater villas with dining options. It’s an adults-only resort (guests must be aged 12 years and above), making it the perfect choice for couples and honeymooners.
“Created exclusively for couples, Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa is a tropical sanctuary of luxury and seclusion. Whether seeking a romantic retreat, or a discovery-filled vacation with your partner, we have the perfect package to suit,” said Voytek Klasicki, area general manager, the Maldives for Centara Hotels & Resorts.
At Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa, couples can go for daytime and night dives at one of many nearby dive sites. These include the Giraavaru Cave, Kuda Haa, Shark Point, Lion’s Head, Kuda Faru and the Kikki Reef.
The famous wreck of the Maldives Victory ship is also less than one hour away. And for guests who want to get up close to the world’s biggest fish – the whale shark – they can join dedicated snorkelling trips to spot these graceful creatures as they ascend close to the surface of the ocean.
Furthermore, underwater explorers who prefer to stay dry can head out in the resort’s own semi-submarine to view the underwater landscape.
Families who are looking for an authentic island experience may choose the Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa. The island resort is situated at the South Ari Atoll and it aims to strengthen the bond between family members through various activities.
Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa features 112 spacious beachfront suites and overwater villas, an array of dining areas, and a variety of water sports options. These activities make sure guests are kept fully entertained throughout their stay.
Over at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa, families can enjoy diving and snorkelling trips for every ability level, from beginners to expert divers. Shore dives, boat trips, dive courses and semi-submersible trips are all available, and the house reef is a breathtaking underwater world, just off the coast of the island.
Finally, visitors at the resort can take part in a wide range of water sports including water skiing, wakeboarding, banana boating, parasailing and sunset fishing.
All-Inclusive marine experiences
Under the Gold All-Inclusive package at Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa, qualified guests can go for up to three dives per villa, per week.
Diving is also featured as part of the Ultimate All-Inclusive package at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa, giving guests up to three dives per person, per week.
In addition to diving excursions, Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa’s Gold All-Inclusive package offers six meals per day, an open bar, a complimentary mini-bar that gets replenished daily, laundry, complimentary spa treatments and unlimited use of non-motorised water sports.
Every villa at the resort is designed with couples in mind, including options with outdoor bathtubs and hammocks suspended over the lagoon.
“By offering all-inclusive packages with diving excursions, Centara is democratising travel to the Maldives. We want more travellers to have the opportunity to experience the wonders of this breathtaking archipelago, both above and below the water,” said Tom Thrussell, Centara’s vice president of brand, marketing and digital.
The Ultimate All-Inclusive package at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa features daily dining experiences, mini-bars replenished daily, spa credits, and a choice of excursions including a snorkelling tour, whale shark boat trip, sunset cruise, local island exploration and sunset fishing.
Both resorts offer unlimited snorkelling opportunities.
“What sets Centara Grand Island Resort apart from other resorts in the Maldives is that we are extremely welcoming to families, with a choice of accommodation options, amenities and activities for all ages. From exotic excursions to memorable meals and of course, diving trips, we offer a wealth of opportunities for families to reconnect with each other and nature,” added Mr Klasicki.
Aside from its all-inclusive packages, Centara Hotels & Resorts is also offering free airport transfers to and from both its resorts in the Maldives.
