Ritz-Carlton to develop a hotel in St. Kitts

The Ministry of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority have announced that The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, part of Marriott International has signed a management agreement with The Liamuiga Corportation to open a Ritz-Carlton Resort on St. Kitts in 2021.
“We look forward to welcoming the Ritz-Carlton to our shores,” said Lindsay F.P. Grant, Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce.
“This well-known and highly regarded brand will complement our existing hotel product and add to the mix of accommodations we offer as we continue to target the discerning, experiential traveller.
“Similar to other new hotel developments on island, the Ritz-Carlton Resort will create 300 jobs on island during construction with a further 250 jobs once the hotel and resort is operational, providing employment for our citizens and benefitting the economy.”
The proposed 125-room Ritz-Carlton Resort will be located on the beach facing the Caribbean Sea in the southeast peninsula of the island and will also include 25 Ritz-Carlton Branded Villas and Residences.
Among the hotel’s amenities will be a spa, several swimming pools set within the tropical landscape and indoor and outdoor dining facilities and meeting spaces.
