Visitors to Hong Kong will get to experience a different and organic side of the city through the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s (HKTB) upcoming Great Outdoors campaign.
They will get a glimpse of Hong Kong that is far removed from its buzzing urban centre image and instead see tranquil mountaintops, greenery and country parks.
The HKTB has engaged local photographers who have captured some of the landscapes in the city.
Visitors can view Hong Kong as a nature-filled geological area by following Your Guide to Hiking & Cycling in Hong Kong, recently published by the tourism board.
The guide takes readers into a range of nature trails. The trails are an hour or two from the city centre, making them accessible by taxi or a MTR ride away.
It is divided into three different themes: Hiking in Heritage; Picture-Perfect Vistas; and Geological Wonders.
Under each section are suggested trails that suit the theme, along with the time needed for completion and difficulty level. It also features a few cycling trails for those who want to explore the city from another perspective.
