Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman has been awarded the prestigious Green Globe Certification for second year in a row.
The 388-key property received an improved score from the audit conducted by Farnek Middle East. A staple frontrunner in sustainability within the hospitality industry, Ramada Ajman boasts a remarkable set of green initiatives including having an in-house compost machine, urban farm, and reverse osmosis plant for water treatment, among others. Recently, the hotel has installed a dewaterer and macerator machine to streamline its waste management scheme and save on cost, time and labour.
It has also attained numerous awards and citations, and participated in various conferences in Middle East and Europe to share its sustainable practices.
Iftikhar Hamdani, general manager, commented: “Green Globe is one of the most coveted certifications in terms of sustainability within the travel and tourism sector, thus, I am very proud of my team for this achievement. The process of tracking our progress had been an elaborate and tedious task, and all the hard work had paid off.”
Sumair Tariq, managing director, R Hotels, commended the team: “On behalf of the group, we congratulate Ramada Ajman for renewing their Green Globe certification.
