Low-cost carrier flydubai has revealed plans to add Sylhet to its network, becoming the airline’s third destination in Bangladesh after Chittagong and Dhaka.
flydubai said in a statement that it will start direct flights between Dubai and Sylhet on March 15, as the airline increases its weekly service to 27 flights to Bangladesh.
The service to Sylhet, also known as Jalalabad, will begin with four flights a week and is set to increase to six flights a week from May 16, the statement said.
It added that the operation to Sylhet Osmani International Airport is in partnership with Bangladesh carrier Regent Airways.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO at flydubai, said: “We are happy to be relaunching flights to Sylhet, an important cultural and trade centre in Bangladesh. We remain committed to strengthening air links between the UAE and underserved markets.”
