Travel Agent Licences to be issued electronically from 15 Sept
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) would like to inform the public that all Travel Agent licences will be issued electronically via the Travel Agents and Tourist Guides Licensing System (TRUST) with effect from today. This is part of STB’s efforts to go digital and to streamline processes. With the transition, travel agents can expect to receive their licences sooner, with estimated waiting times for licence application and renewals reduced by half.
They will also be able to access their licence online via the TRUST portal. With the electronic issuance, travel agents can conveniently download and print the licence for display. The licence has been redesigned to include features such as a QR code for the public to immediately verify the authenticity of a licence, as well as to display the licence validity period more prominently. Travel agents should note that licences issued before 15 September 2022 remain valid until the end of the licence period, which is 31 December 2023 or earlier. The transition to the electronic licence only involves changes to licence design and its mode of delivery. Travel agents are still required to adhere to regulations on licence display.
