Triptease: Direct Booking Summit set for Asian debut

The Direct Booking Summit — the only event to focus solely on increasing hotels’ direct bookings — is coming to Asia for the first time. Triptease, summit host and pioneer of the Direct Booking Movement, today announces that an inaugural Asia-Pacific edition of the summit will take place in Singapore in early 2019.

The event will follow summits in Amsterdam in June 2018 and Dallas in September 2018, focusing on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and the Americas markets, respectively.

Launched in 2016, the Direct Booking Summit brings together hundreds of hoteliers, from savvy independents to those from world-leading brands, to strategise, network and drive the Direct Booking Movement forward. With previous speakers and delegates from Hyatt, The Leading Hotels of the World, Deutsche Hospitality, Kempinski Hotels, trivago, Kalibri Labs, McKinsey & Company, ReviewPro,The Guestbook and Mirai, all taking part.

Summit chairman and Triptease Chief Tease (main picture), Charlie Osmond, said: “Asia-Pacific is one of the most exciting and fast-changing markets in travel so there’s nowhere better to bring the Direct Booking Summit. I can’t wait to hear from the region’s most forward-thinking hoteliers and find out how, together, we can grow hotels’ revenue and perfect the guest experience.”

Previous attendees have rated the event as one of the industry’s best, describing it as a place to absorb knowledge, pick up best practices and connect with like-minded individuals. Julissa Quiroz, of the Fortune House Hotel, Miami, attended last year’s Direct Booking Summit in New York and said: “We loved everything! We had two very productive days, we are definitely implementing new strategies and ideas at our property to maximise guest satisfaction and hotel revenue.”
