Warwick International Hotels (WIH) and Al Madaen Group signed a new management contract to manage and operate the first Warwick branded hotel in Qatar.
The management agreement was signed in the presence of Khalid Al – Mahmoud, executive board director of Al Madaen Group, engineer, Ehab Selim Al Madaen Group, general manager and from the Warwick International Hotels Jamal Serhan, chief operating officer Warwick International Hotels, Sausse Sebastien, director of project management MENA for WIH, Nadia Madi, regional director of sales & marketing MENA for WIH, and Hesham Radwan, general manager of Warwick Doha Hotel.
Al Madaen general manager revealed that the first phase of the Warwick Doha Hotel will be opening during current year, comprising of 164 rooms and suites and by the end of 2017, the hotel capacity will reach 250 rooms and suites.
“This is the eighth hotel (after two in Jordan, Winter Valley Resort & Spa in the Dead Sea and the Warwick Il Palazzo Hotel & Suites in Amman; three in Lebanon, Warwick Pangéa Beach Resort & Spa, Warwick Hotel Palm Beach and Warwick Stone 55 Hotel, in or near Beirut; one in Dubai, the Warwick Dubai Hotel and one in Iraq, Warwick Babylon Hotel) that will strengthen our presence in the Middle East region, all under management contracts, in less than three years,” said Serhan.
As per officials from Al Madaen Group, the total investment of the project is approximately QAR 400 million. The hotel is centrally located to business centers, downtown area and the Doha International Airport.
