Marriott International has unveiled plans to launch its Four Points by Sheraton brand in New Zealand.
The company has penned a deal for the Four Points by Sheraton Auckland, which is scheduled to open its doors in late 2017. Converted from office space, the 255-room midscale hotel will be located on Queen Street in the city centre.
“We are extremely excited to expand Marriott International’s presence in Asia Pacific with the launch of the Four Points brand in New Zealand,” said Mike Fulkerson, the company’s vice president of brand & marketing for Asia Pacific.
“The Four Points brand is rapidly growing around the world, especially in the Pacific region. We have two Four Points hotels open in Brisbane and Perth. In addition, we have three hotels under development – two in Sydney and a flagship property in Melbourne. We are looking forward to the opening of the Melbourne property later this month.”
Facilities at the Four Points by Sheraton Auckland will include a restaurant, bar and lounge, a fitness centre and approximately 300m² of conference and meeting space. All guests will be offered free bottled water, Wi-Fi and breakfast.
Four Points by Sheraton Auckland joins Marriott’s Pacific portfolio of 23 hotels, including two Four Points properties in Brisbane and Perth. The company is also developing a new Ritz-Carlton hotel in Auckland.
